In a world constructed around the idea of that perfect geometry that perfect idolised work of thought. How or what will the world look like with this at it’s core?. Construed and contorted into something beautiful or perfectly horrific…
OK this series of screenshot’s, which have been edited slightly for colour temperature and warmth show the layout of the proposed building. This is still a very early stage in development however this gives me the opportunity to get a feeling and a sense of scale and presence for the thing!.
My story starts in the year 2084 a time in which humans have achieved the highest technological achievements ever perceived through science fiction, transformed into science fact. For all this however humans have paid the ultimate price. A ravaged world dominated by industry and mass manipulation of information including memory. A world in which humans have become secondary to there desire to ever greater power and control of what it is to be human.
Meanwhile the brotherhood continues on in the shadows guarding it’s secret of true knowledge which it is there doctorate to maintain through genetic bloodline. For the knowledge they posses which has come to be known as the gene of ascension allows the bearer to see into the whole universal structure as Pythagoras did in the beginning.
Therefore my project will centre around one such building used by the brotherhood as a stronghold in this dissident vision of the future. In a world built on the founding principles of Pythagoras miss interpreted over the ages into a geometric nightmare in which people have lost there understanding of life to a supposedly augmented version of reality. A brotherhood tries insistently to stop the cascading effects of it’s own intervention.
Part 1 Prologue.
In a time of serenity and wisdom a time of childish happiness and boundless possibility. The golden age of human existence, lived a man called Pythagoras!.The original creator of mathematics that pure theoretical realm in which anything is possible to the fractal of it’s practitioners.
Pythagoras watching man made the profound distinction fatal realisation that perhaps he possessed a gift far greater then his fellow peers, a knowledge so great it could fundamentally change the fabric of the connected realm by thus creating a completely separate one. A perfect realm of pure thought and idea.
Using this knowledge Pythagoras thought he would help to influentially change the world. To create science, order, structure. To build.A Brotherhood of select individuals who where able to posses if not a small fraction of this genetic knowledge through a test where admitted to become part of this religion. Through this Pythagoras was able to begin teaching other members of the human race to use this knowledge to evolve there understanding of the universe and it’s laws. However for what Pythagoras could not see in his divine ability was, perhaps an inherent imperfection in the universal design.
Thus man began the rise in intellect and understanding which allowed great humans to build the very foundation of civilisation. And. Perhaps for a time prosper in a perfect world of mind and thought. However with this found will-power and superior thinking came with it a slow dissent and disconnection from the sensual reality into a kind of bedlam in which humans enslave themselves into a complex system of feedback loops designed to perpetuate the stance that only the best succeed. (I’ve lost it a bit hear.)
The brotherhood have continued since this time throughout the Ages trying to perhaps correct the wrongs they created by sharing to much of the genetic memory thus awakening man to itself and all of the things there in, Power, Selfishness, Content towards others and the systematic entrapment of the mind into the belief in a world where admiration towards a product takes precedent over life.
The first master I will study is Leonardo Da Vinci. one of the greatest men to have ever lived on Earth. born on April 15, 1452 in a small town called Vinci in the Provence Tuscany. Probably the most well known of the great masters of the Renaissance, Leonardo is considered the arch type of greatness, a true master not only of painting but pretty much everything else as well.
I study Leonardo because of my admiration for his unbound curiosity in everything and all things. His insatiable passion for life and unparalleled mastery of his craft. During the study of Leonardo which will last for one week of the historical perspective segment of the project I will copy his works looking for characteristics in Line, gesture and notably his use of the ‘Sfumato’ painting mode which he mastered during the renaissance.

This is my first attempt at recreating one of Leonardo’s drawings. I have used a conte pastel pencil and toned the paper using yellow lemon oil paint pigments.

My second copy. Hear again I have used the sanguine conte, but in a more stylised manner. In the beginning I decided to focus on a more spontaneous gesture of the subject, maintaining the various edges and contours as I went along. Using two tones of pastel to create a more graphic feel.
I may come back to this subject later to apply a more classical rendering, which deals with the concept of soft and hard edges more closely.

Previous Eras, Masters and their accomplishment.
During the first section of the project which will span for the first 41 Day Period. [_Please refer to the 'Schedule'_]. As a side note to this and to summarise I will be spending three to Four days in complete devotion. To this Love I call Art.
OK, now that’s out of the way, __[] Historical Perspective will give me the opportunity to reflect on what came before me and perhaps even after me. Here I will study the various eras and movements in Art. above all else I will study the great Masters, realists of the golden age.
Hear I hope to awaken and a deeper connection to the creation of Art, And. It’s meaning, themes and rhythms.
